The 12th Rockets for Schools Launch!
The Elementary Rockets for Schools 2008 Launch is scheduled for May 7, 2008. Monday May 5th and Tuesday May 6th the students will assemble their individual rockets. Wednesday afternoon they will launch their rocket! Students in 4th-5th grade experience the excitement of assembling an Estes model rocket and running their own rocket launch.
How to Register:
- Download the registration form (Hmong) (Spanish) and fill it out.
- Mail the Form and a check for $10 made out to Great Lakes Spaceport Education Foundation, Inc. to the address below by March 31st 2008.

- Once registered, you will receive an information packet in April 2008 that will provide your team assignment, a launch schedule, additional forms to fill out, and maps.
The students will be assigned to a team that they will stay with during the assembly and launch periods. They will assemble their rockets individually, with a little help from their parents and Rockets for Schools Advisors. The students will receive and assemble their rocket on Monday or Tuesday night from 6-8pm at Horace Mann Middle School in Sheboygan. The rockets will be launched on Wednesday from 12:30-6pm on the grounds of Horace Mann Middle School.
The $10 fee covers your rocket kit, motor, and all the materials necessary to assemble your rocket.
