The 14th Rockets for Schools Launch!
The Elementary Rockets for Schools 2010 Launch is scheduled for May 5, 2010. Monday May 3rd and Tuesday May 4th the students will assemble their individual rockets. Wednesday afternoon they will launch their rocket! Students in 4th-5th grade experience the excitement of assembling an Estes model rocket and running their own rocket launch.
The 2010 Elementary Rocket Launch is ready for lift-off for another year. Students in grades 4 & 5 are invited to participate.
The purpose of the Rockets for Schools program is to provide students with hands-on/minds-on aerospace educational experience to stimulate the learning in science, math & technology.
Students may participate in one or more of the following 3 options : A. Rocket kit construction, B. Plastic Bottle Rocket – individual & C. Plastic Bottle – Group. For specific explanations of each refer to the Options Sheet. Each student who wants to participate needs to fill out the completed application form with the appropriate cost. Groups participating in the group bottle rocket option, should also fill out the group bottle rocket application form.
Participation will be limited to the first-come-first served basis. During early April, each participant will receive an informational packet regarding their participation in the Rocket Launch.
